There are many types of "mandazi" as the discussion at "Aimee's Mandazi recipe" on this channel shows. So to be on the safe side, this will not just be called so, but "half cake" as this type is called in some parts of Uganda. The best "half cake", at least a while ago, could be bought, in Jinja town, where you find the source of the river Nile, the longest in the world, embarking on its 6400km journey to the Mediterranean.
